My ancestor, Elizabeth (Rikard) Glymph, married John Planter Glymph, Sr. She was born around 1775 in Newberry County, South Carolina. Her parents were said to have been John and Catherine Reichert. Nothing is known about John, but apparently after he died, his widow Catherine remarried to John Lowe, and together, they had two daughters, Sarah Low and Catherine Low.
Interestingly enough, Elizabeth's mother and her husband's mother were both married to the same man - John Lowe. Elizabeth's mother, Catherine (?) Rikard, married him first and they had two children, and after she died, John's mother, also named Catherine, married the widower John Lowe. Therefore, John and Elizabeth (Rikard) Glymph's children's grandmothers were both married to the same man.

*Note that I have listed the descendants of Elizabeth (Rikard) Glymph's mother, Catherine, instead of her father, John. This is only because it is easier to view the multiple marriages and the children from separate marriages.

Plat shews irregularly shaped tract bounded by Buchanan's Estate, Yarborough, Zach'h Hogg, John Suber, Lominnick, John Keller, and Gaspar Wecker. The resurvey found 604 acres. The widow Elizabeth received 190 acres as her full third; John Glymph, younger son of deceased, received 90 acres; Fatsey Glymph, eldor daughter, received 100 acres, and Lemuel Glymph, elder son, received 124 acres. (The remaining 100 acres presumably went to Mary Glymph. Note that the children's property was divided according to value, not according to acreage.)
