My 2x-grandmother was Lena Ellen Gilliam, who married Robert Walton Glymph. Their son, Dewey, was my great-grandfather.
Lena, in her older years, had long gray hair that touched the floor when she would rarely take it down from a bun on the back of her head. She was also an excellent cook. Her and her family lived in Newberry, as had her family for generations.
I have traced Lena's lineage back to the early 1600s in Gravesend, Kent County, England, to Sir Walter Gilliam of Herford.
